{"id":13014,"date":"2019-07-08T10:10:40","date_gmt":"2019-07-08T17:10:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.roryc.ca\/blog\/?p=13014"},"modified":"2019-06-25T09:46:13","modified_gmt":"2019-06-25T16:46:13","slug":"how-metro-vancouver-home-prices-have-rocketed-vs-other-north-american-cities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.roryc.ca\/blog\/2019\/07\/how-metro-vancouver-home-prices-have-rocketed-vs-other-north-american-cities\/","title":{"rendered":"How Metro Vancouver Home Prices Have Rocketed vs. Other North American Cities?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We all know that real estate prices in Metro Vancouver have increased significantly over the past decade or so, but how does that growth compare with other North American cities?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Canadian housing blog Better Dwelling crunched the numbers and came up with a graph that shows just how dramatically prices have risen in the region since 2000, as compared with cities such as New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto and Montreal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It found that Metro Vancouver home prices have risen 316% since January 2000, which is more than a four-fold increase.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In comparison, New York home prices have increased by just under 103%, which is only just over double what they were in January 2000.
