An attractive, well-kept home generally has a better chance of selling a little faster.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Minor exterior and interior improvements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Updates can add value to your home without requiring a large renovation bill. Think back to what first attracted you to your home; now determine how best to highlight and improve your home\u2019s best features.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Here are a few ideas to help you perk up your home\u2019s appearance. Consult with your Realtor to see what types of improvements make the most sense.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Start with the outside<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u2022 An inviting exterior ensures that potential buyers will inspect the interior <\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u2022 Keep lawns and gardens well maintained<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u2022 Ensure garage and porch areas are free of clutter and refuse<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u2022 Repair loose siding or pavement<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u2022 Replace any damaged roof shingles, eaves troughs or cracked windows<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u2022 Wash windows, gutters, mailbox and doors<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u2022 Secure loose shutters or awnings<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The inside story<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can do a lot to improve the inside of your home without spending a great deal of money.
