When you own a home and something breaks, you can still call someone to fix it, but it\u2019s going to be way more expensive and it\u2019ll be up to you to pay for. Save money by teaching yourself how to make small repairs and learning how to handle mini-emergencies. Here\u2019s a handy guide for 30 household problems that you can repair on your own.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Start an emergency fund.<\/strong> Sometimes major things break down, and as a homeowner you\u2019re responsible for fixing them. If you don\u2019t have any money saved to cover the costs, you\u2019re going to find yourself in a very difficult situation. Do yourself a favor, and put away a little money each month in the event that any big problems ever arise.
