The next 10 year window should be one of its best ever for real estate (in New Westminster),\u201d Don Campbell, senior analyst at REIN, told Canadian Real Estate Wealth. \u201cEven if the market slows in metro Vancouver, that market will still have some legs because of affordability, transportation, and jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a report, released today, REIN identified New Westminster as one of the country\u2019s next real estate hot spots.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Population has grown 7.6% since 2011 to 10,996 and is forecasted to grow another 10% by 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the REIN report, population is expected to reach 90,278 by 2030.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.roryc.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/mbnw.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-5454\" src=\"https:\/\/www.roryc.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/mbnw-300x149.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"562\" height=\"279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.roryc.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/mbnw-300x149.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.roryc.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/mbnw.jpg 711w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 562px) 100vw, 562px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAll we\u2019re seeing is this is an opportunity for demographics and infrastructure and affordability coming together in one city,\u201d Campbell said. \u201cIf you take out a map, look where New West is and look at the surrounding areas and their values and their demand. It becomes obvious that New West is going to have a great run for the next decade.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The city is also undergoing a revitalization of its waterfront and downtown areas; it\u2019s also home to a transit hub that connects it to the Vancouver International Airport, as surrounding post-secondary insittutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThroughout history, there have been cities that seem to miss out, or lag, while the surrounding regions boom.
