{"id":5518,"date":"2017-04-17T10:10:17","date_gmt":"2017-04-17T17:10:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.roryc.ca\/blog\/?p=5518"},"modified":"2017-04-12T17:47:22","modified_gmt":"2017-04-13T00:47:22","slug":"repeat-sales-prices-of-single-family-homes-increase-in-march","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.roryc.ca\/blog\/2017\/04\/repeat-sales-prices-of-single-family-homes-increase-in-march\/","title":{"rendered":"Repeat Sales Prices of Single-Family Homes Increase in March"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Repeat home sales prices increased 0.85% across Metro Vancouver in March, according to the Teranet House Price Index, which measures price changes for repeat sales of single-family homes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This increase comes after growth of 1.43% in February and 0.3% in January.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.roryc.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Repeat-sales-prices.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5519\" src=\"https:\/\/www.roryc.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Repeat-sales-prices-300x161.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"526\" height=\"282\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.roryc.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Repeat-sales-prices-300x161.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.roryc.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Repeat-sales-prices-768x412.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.roryc.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Repeat-sales-prices.jpg 931w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 526px) 100vw, 526px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cVancouver prices were up in each of the first three months of 2017 \u2013 a total of 2.6% \u2013 after slipping a total of 2.8% in the last three months of 2016,\u201d Teranet said in a release.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Year-over-year, repeat prices increased 12.2% in the city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nationally, repeat home sales prices increased 0.89% in the month and 13.47% year-over-year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIn March, the [index] was up 0.9% from the previous month \u2013 the largest March rise in 10 years,\u201d Teranet said. In February, the index had the biggest increase for that month that the organization had ever seen in the index\u2019s 18-year history.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The highest increases were seen in Hamilton (up 2.1%), Toronto (up 1.8%) and Victoria (1%).
