This device allows home owners to easily say a command such as \u2018turn up the music\u2019 or \u2018order a case of Coke\u2019 in order to quickly accomplish a task. This is wonderful for people who need an extra little assistant around the house or an assistant to go out and pick something up. Tools like these do wonders to improve accessibility and Alexa is remarkably affordable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Home Security Systems<\/strong><br \/>\nThere is increasing advancements in the home security sectors that give home owners some peace of mind and helps them to maintain an independent lifestyle. Modern systems have an array of features such as an alarm system, video monitoring, calling emergency services and more. This is an important first step in helping to make elderly or disabled home owners feel comfortable and relaxed in their environment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Walk-In Bathtubs<\/strong><br \/>\nAnother and perhaps more commonly used system to help the disabled is walk-in bathtubs. One of the most terrifying day-to-day activities for someone who is elderly or disabled is having to get in and out of the bathtub each day, which often come up to the average person knees, making it a big step to get in and out. By making plans to install in a walk-in bathtub for clients, they can feel safe in taking showers and a hot bath.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Iris<\/strong><br \/>\nIris is Lowe\u2019s version of Alexa. It has the ability to turn on fans, lights, and even adjust the thermostat in a house. It can easily be set up for the user and has a simple remote to operate the device. If someone is looking for a more practical device to make their home smart, Iris may be their choice over Alexa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the past, smart homes seemed like something only the rich and famous could afford. It was the epitome of luxury and class. However, in today\u2019s world, this luxury is more affordable than ever as market forces have lowered the cost of the technology and produced more of it.
