The idea was to see if certain keywords that refer to home design styles, features and amenities had any impact on the sales price.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Zillow\u2019s findings, listings that mention the word \u201csteam showers\u201d, which are enclosed showers that can also be used as a steam room (such as the one pictured), sold at an average of 29 percent above the expected value. Other spa-related words such as \u201cmeditation room\u201d and \u201cfree-standing tub\u201d also helped to boost sales prices, Zillow found.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the appliance side, those that used the word \u201cprofessional appliances\u201d and other modern kitchen terms such as \u201cpizza oven\u201d, \u201cprep sink\u201d, and \u201cOutdoor kitchen\u201d also sold for a premium.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhile everyone has different style preferences, when it\u2019s time to sell, being specific and strategic with your home\u2019s listing description can have a big financial payoff,\u201d said Jeremy Wacksman, Zillow\u2019s chief marketing officer. \u201cHomes with spa-inspired bathrooms, chef-like kitchen amenities and certain craftsman or farmhouse features are very popular among today\u2019s buyers. If you have these features in your home, try to highlight them in listing photos and descriptions as it may help catch a future buyer\u2019s eye.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While there are a variety of reasons a home may sell faster or for more money than expected, understanding what\u2019s popular among buyers can also help homeowners thinking about remodeling.
