As a real estate agent, you have to stand out from everyone else in the industry. Otherwise, you’ll hardly get any clients, even after working forever. Here are a few ways to improve your branding as a real estate agent.

1. Update Your Google Business Page

First of all, if you haven’t made a Google business page, go do it now. It’s one of the most effective ways to get more online business. Each time someone searches online, they’ll have a chance to see your company.

However, they’ll only see your stuff if you update your page often. Part of what Google uses to rank content is the date a page was updated. If it’s been updated recently, it’s more likely to show up at the top.

2. Send Notes to Clients on Personalized Cards

Another way you can make yourself stand out to clients is by sending them cards. To really make an impression, try using some personalized stationery sets. If they get something on a custom card, they’ll be way more likely to remember it.

When someone remembers you, getting them to recommend you to their friends is much easier. So, anything you can do to make yourself memorable is generally a good idea. For us, we’ve always seen great results after sending custom cards.

Something about the way they’re made makes them seem nice to clients whenever they open them.

3. Maintain an Active Social Media Presence

Of course, if you’re a real estate agent, social media must be part of your process. One of the quickest ways to reach new clients is by reaching out to them on social media.

Plus, trust is much easier to build if you have friends in common. So, they’ll have fewer reservations about working with you.

By connecting to them on social media, you can even show them photos of people they know. If you recently closed on a deal for one of their friends, send them a pic.

4. Reach Out to Previous Clients and Ask for Referrals

After it’s been a few months, reach out to clients you’ve helped. More than likely, they’ll have a few questions you can answer for them. Afterward, ask them if they have any friends looking at homes. If they do, get them to send their information to you.

Always reach out to their friends and tell them who gave you their info. By starting the conversation that way, you’ll build social proof immediately.

5. Give a Closing Gift to Everyone Who Buys

To finish an interaction, give clients a gift on the closing day. They’ll remember if you give them something that would be useful at home. Anytime they use what you’ve given them, they’ll be forced to think of you.

Eventually, you could send them gifts sometime during the holidays. If we were in your shoes, we’d also include a card with any gifts.

6. Use Direct Mailers to Generate Business

Sending a custom card directly to someone’s home is a great way to get their attention. Sometimes, it doesn’t even have to be someone you’ve worked with before. Instead, you could send cards to people in nice homes, asking if they’d let you be their agent.

If they agree, you could help them list their homes and work as the selling agent.

7. Always Ask for Good Reviews

After each client finishes closing, ask them to give you a good review online. Keep a business card with you that has a QR code linking to your reviews. That way, they can scan it using their phones and leave one. They won’t have to search for your page, so it takes less time to leave a review.

How to Brand Yourself as a Real Estate Agent?
Branding yourself as an agent is crucial, and it takes quite a bit of effort. But, as long as you put forth enough, you’ll build one. Over time, specific strategies will become more effective than others. So, don’t be afraid to switch things around as time changes. Learning how to brand yourself as a real estate agent is a process. The longer you’ve done it, the better you’ll become.
